LOUISA BRIGGS
An important Authorisation meeting is to be held on Saturday, 28th and Sunday, 29th March 2026, to make amendments to the Boonwurrung Native Title Application.
Who should attend?
It is now critical for all persons who are descendants of Louisa Briggs and identify with their Boonwurrung heritage to attend the Authorisation to assert the native title rights and interests of the Boonwurrung People who are descendants of Louisa Briggs.
Date and Venue?
The Authorisation Meeting will be held in Novotel Melbourne on Collins (No. 270, Collins St, Melbourne) on Saturday, 28th & Sunday, 29th March 2026. The venue is being finalised. Accommodation costs will be covered, and some travel costs will be covered in line with the FNLRS Travel Policy.
How to Register to Attend?
In order to register to attend this critical Authorisation Meeting, please complete the Registration Form below. This will allow us to keep you updated. Once we have this information, we will send further details regarding accommodation and travel allowances.
To record your family connection:
• Choose the child of Louisa Briggs who is your first-generation ancestor, along with their spouse.
• Then choose the child of that ancestor from whom you are descended and select the correct spouse, noting that some ancestors had more than one marriage.
